Recently, my brother purchased a Whistler WGPX-550 for me as a birthday gift. In short, the product is great! I live in Los Angeles; an area that is massive, and has insane traffic conditions. This product works very well in guiding me efficiently to the correct address every time. I also find the software to be user friendly, the voice easy to understand, and the display easy to read.

Finally, for a change, a product worked right out of the box! The WGPX-550 worked so well that I have not even had to read the instructions for it navigated me to Bloomington, IL as easy as 1, 2, 3.

I received one of your radar detectors as a gift and I am very impressed. So far, I have avoided several tickets because of this radar detector. I wanted to write about Whistler’s customer service. I have called twice with a couple of questions and the support provided was excellent! The customer service representative was very professional and helpful. This type of phone support creates loyal customers. After my discussions with Whistler, I made two purchases; I bought the following radar detectors, one DE1793 and one Pro 73. It’s the quality of service and the product test results that supported my purchases. My station in life affords me the opportunity to purchase a 300 to 500 dollar radar detector (Escort) model if desired, but when I called them I found them not helpful and snobbish. The rest is history and now I own two quality products from a group of great people at Whistler that support a couple of fun cars; a 2003 Yukon XL and a 2002 Corvette Convertible!

I have a Whistler radar/laser detector that has the talking feature and it has paid for itself on just the first hour of using it. The talking feature eliminates all the guesswork, decoding beeps and tones. It has saved me from countless speeding tickets and has saved my life from being broad-sided by an ambulance at an intersection. I had the windows up and it started saying"safety" in a audable womans voice with the led flashing - I slowed down and along came an ambulance, just missing my car. My detector has the 360 protection so it picks up radar/safety behind me as well which has been very useful in detecting emergency vehicles coming up from behind and speed traps set up in small towns. I'm truely glad I bought mine - 2 thumbs up for Whistler!

I am from Milwaukee, Wisc. I am a walking advertisement for the Whistler Products ( radar detectors). Since 1990, I have installed whistler radar detectors in my vehicles and I have nothing but praise for their quality and reliability. The first time we used the power inverter we traveled from Little Rock, Arkansas to Carlsbad, New Mexico in a Chevrolet Metro. We used the inverter to run everything from lamps to a coffee pot while camping on vacation. We ended up hitting Roswell, NM ( the UFO capitol of the world), Santa Fe, and Taos before we headed back to Arkansas. See even a Metro can be a comfortable abode as long as you can take along all the comforts of home along. Thanks again and keep making great products!! Have a great week!

I got the new unit that you sent, replacing the broken one I'd sent in to your attention. I want to thank you for your prompt attention to this. I know and appreciate that there were unusual and compromising circumstances to the state of the unit, which I'd explained. You'd have been well within your rights to have refused warranty. Nevertheless, you were honest and kind enough to look past this and deal with the cause of failure. It's inspiring that a company doesn't use excuses to get past responsibilities. You believe enough in your products that you back them to the hilt. Please know that I hold your products in the highest esteem and will continue to be a good ambassador for them in my travels. As I'd previously mentioned, we'd driven from Europe to India and back and now we're shipping the vehicle to Argentina and driving up to Alaska.
